Therapy Dog Prep Class Starts

We also provide mentorship for team's first visits, especially for assisted living facilities, or as needed.
A 6 week class for individuals interested in becoming a therapy team. This class is for both handler and dog to practice the skills necessary to successfully visit in various settings and scenarios the team may encounter. It will consist of both lecture and hands on practice, using props such as wheelchairs, canes, crutches and walkers etc. Our goal is to prepare you and your partner for a successful path to becoming a therapy team..

Pre-requisites:
Your dog must have basic obedience skills, not be reactive to other dogs, and be comfortable in a variety of settings and seek out interactions with humans of all ages and abilities.
